Refuting the False Yamani Doctrine

This Website aims to critically Examine and Expose the false Claims of the Yamani movement using Qur’anic Evidence and Authentic Twelver Shīʿī sources.

Examining the ‘Divine Mysteries' Lecture of Abdullah Hashem Aba al-Sadiq

Below is a Twelver (Isnā ‘Asharī) Shia refutation of the lecture of Aba Sadiq Yamani in which he discussed Divine Mysteries.

1. The “Egg” Analogy & Claim of Hidden Religion

Claims of Abdullah Hashem Aba al-Sadiq

Most people only take the “crust” of religion; the real religion is hidden and mysterious.

Shia Response:

Islam is not an esoteric cult where only a secret elite has access to truth. The Qur’an repeatedly affirms that guidance is clear, not hidden.

Qur’an:

“This is a clear statement for mankind, and a guidance and an admonition for the God-conscious.”
(Qur’an 3:138)

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣādiq (ع):

“Allah has not left anything that the servants need except that He has clarified it for them.”
(al-Kāfī, vol. 1, p. 59)

Conclusion:
Islam is not a “mystery egg.” Its core beliefs, laws, and guidance are clear and accessible.

2. Misuse of Qur’an 6:116 (Majority Misguided)

Claim:

Most people are misguided; therefore mainstream Islam is false.

Shia Response:

The verse refers to following speculation, not rejecting scholarly consensus or Qur’an-based religion.

Qur’an:

“If you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you from the path of Allah.”
(6:116)

Imam al-Bāqir (ع):

“Truth is with knowledge, not with numbers.”
(Bihār al-Anwār, vol. 2)

This does not justify rejecting the Qur’an, Shariah, or Marāji‘.

3. Claim: Only Ahl al-Bayt & “Perfect Shia” Are Scholars

Claim:

No one is a real scholar except the Ahl al-Bayt and a few elite followers.

Shia Response:

The Imams trained scholars and commanded people to follow them.

Imam al-Ṣādiq (ع):

“As for the jurist who protects his soul… the public must follow him.”
(Wasā’il al-Shī‘a, vol. 27)

Rejecting scholarship is anti-Shia.

4. “Salman, Abu Dharr, Miqdad Would Disbelieve”

Claim:

If companions knew each other’s knowledge, they would disbelieve.

Shia Response:

This narration is weak and misused.

Authentic Shia teaching:

Imam al-Ṣādiq (ع):

“The believer is the brother of the believer.”
(al-Kāfī, vol. 2)

True Shia unity is based on shared faith, not secret contradictions.

5. Claim: Qur’an Is Corrupted (Tahrīf)

Claim:

Hundreds of verses were changed, removed, or fabricated.

Shia Position (Mainstream):

Imam al-Ṣādiq (ع):

“The Qur’an is one, revealed from One.”
(al-Kāfī, vol. 2)

Shaykh al-Ṣadūq:

“Whoever attributes Qur’an distortion to us is a liar.”

Belief in tahrīf is rejected by Twelver Shia doctrine.

6. Claim: Imams Hid Halal & Haram

Claim:

The Imams knew secret halal/haram that contradicted Islam.

Shia Response:

This contradicts the Qur’an:

“Today I have perfected your religion.”
(5:3)

Imam al-Ṣādiq (ع):

“There is nothing except that it has a ruling in the Qur’an or Sunnah.”
(al-Kāfī)

Islam is complete, not hidden.

7. Wine, Marijuana, Music & Dancing

Claim:

Prophets drank wine; Imam Ali could; Mahdi will legalize drugs & music.

Qur’an:

“Wine and gambling are filth from Shaytan.”
(5:90)

Imam al-Riḍā (ع):

“Wine was forbidden due to its corruption.”
(ʿUyūn Akhbār al-Riḍā)

Marijuana = intoxicant → Haram

Music that leads to sin = haram
Dance with modesty = permissible

There is no Shia narration that Imam Mahdi will legalize intoxication.

8. Fabricated Story: Prophet Asking About Ali Drinking Wine

This narration is fabricated.

Imam Ali (ع):

“By Allah, I never drank wine.”
(Nahj al-Balāgha)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Ali is with the Qur’an, and the Qur’an is with Ali.”
(al-Ḥākim)

Wine contradicts Qur’an → impossible for Ali (ع).

9. Claim: Shariah Is Irrelevant, Only Follow the Imam

Shia Islam says:

Imam al-Mahdi (ع):

“Refer to our scholars in new matters.”
(al-Iḥtijāj)

Shariah remains valid until Qiyāmah.

10. “27 Parts of Knowledge” Misused

This hadith means broader understanding, not secret laws.

Imam al-Bāqir (ع):

“Knowledge is light.”

It does not mean Islam is incomplete or hidden.

Conclusion

This ideology resembles:

• Gnostic secrecy
• Bāṭini esotericism
• Cult manipulation
• Yamani/False Mahdi movements

It is not Twelver Shia Islam.
