Refuting the False Yamani Doctrine

This Website aims to critically Examine and Expose the false Claims of the Yamani movement using Qur’anic Evidence and Authentic Twelver Shīʿī sources.

Is Abdullah Hashem Really the Representative of Imam Mahdi?

A Shīʿī Perspective on the “Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light”

In recent years, a group known as the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light has gained attention online. Its leader, Abdullah Hashem (also called Aba-Sadiq), claims to be the only representative of Imam Mahdi (عج) and says that obeying him is the same as obeying the Prophet Muhammad, Jesus, and Moses.

He also claims that anyone who does not pledge allegiance to him is misguided—even respected Sunni and Shīʿī scholars.

But how do these claims stand when we look at Shīʿī Islamic teachings?
Let’s examine this calmly and clearly.

1. Yes, Leadership in Islam Is Divinely Appointed – But Claims Need Proof

Shīʿī Muslims believe that true leaders are chosen by Allah, not by themselves.
However, claiming divine appointment is not the same as proving it.

Throughout Islamic history, many people have claimed special status. The Imams taught us not to follow such claims blindly. Any real representative of Imam Mahdi must:

  • Follow the Qurʾān

  • Follow the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt

  • Respect Islamic law (Sharīʿah)

  • Be supported by authentic evidence

Simply saying “I am appointed by God” is not enough.

2. Are Scholars Really the Enemy of Islam?

Abdullah Hashem says that most Sunni and Shīʿī scholars are dangerous and worse than Yazid’s army because they do not support him.

But Shīʿī Islam teaches the opposite.

During the occultation of Imam Mahdi, scholars are meant to guide the community using:

  • Qurʾān

  • Hadith

  • Teachings of the Imams

They are not perfect, but they are not enemies of Islam either.
Calling all scholars corrupt is a classic cult tactic to isolate followers.

3. The “Will of the Prophet” and the Name “Ahmed”

One of the main proofs used by this movement is a so-called “will” of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), which supposedly mentions a future leader named “Ahmed.”

Here’s the problem:

  • This “will” does not exist in reliable Shīʿī sources

  • Classical scholars never taught it

  • It contradicts the belief in only 12 Imams

  • It appeared very recently

In Shīʿī Islam, any narration must be checked against the Qurʾān and authentic teachings.
This “will” fails that test.

4. “Obey Me = Obey the Prophets”? That’s a Red Flag

Abdullah Hashem says:

“Whoever obeys me has obeyed Muhammad, Jesus, and Moses.”

This is a very serious claim.

In Islam, no living person can replace divine authority.
Obedience is only valid if it follows Allah’s law.

Yet this movement:

  • Removes daily prayers

  • Removes fasting

  • Removes hijab

  • Changes Islamic practices

How can obedience to such changes be the same as obeying the Prophet?

5. The Black Flag Does Not Prove Anything

The group claims special status because they raised a “Black Flag,” linking it to end-times prophecies.

But history shows:

  • Many groups used black flags

  • Some were corrupt

  • Even extremist groups use similar symbols

Shīʿī narrations warn that any banner raised before the true Mahdi can be misleading.

Symbols do not prove divine authority.
Character, knowledge, and obedience to Islam do.

6. Forced Allegiance Is Not Islamic

Followers are told:

“If you understand this call, you MUST pledge allegiance.”

Islam does not work this way.

True belief comes from:

  • Understanding

  • Evidence

  • Reflection

  • Free choice

Pressure, fear, and emotional manipulation are signs of cult behavior, not Islamic guidance.

7. Does Abdullah Hashem Match the Signs of Imam Mahdi?

Shīʿī hadith describe Imam Mahdi clearly:

  • From the family of Imam Hasan al-Askari

  • Supported by respected scholars

  • Revives Islamic law

  • Does NOT cancel worship

  • Appears in Mecca

  • Establishes justice

Abdullah Hashem does not match these descriptions.

8. “Reject Me = Reject the Prophets”

This statement is extremely dangerous.

No human being becomes equal to prophets.
No leader replaces divine guidance.

Islam teaches humility, not self-elevation.

9. How Shīʿīs Really Avoid Misguidance

Shīʿī Muslims protect themselves by holding onto:

  • The Qurʾān

  • The Ahl al-Bayt

  • Authentic scholarship

  • Reason and evidence

Not secret documents.
Not online claims.
Not charismatic leaders.

Final Thoughts

From a Shīʿī perspective, the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light:

  • Adds new religious authority

  • Rejects Islamic law

  • Attacks scholars

  • Demands blind loyalty

  • Misuses religious symbols

These are not signs of divine guidance.
They are signs of a modern cult movement.

Simple Summary

  • Islam is complete

  • The Mahdi will revive Islam, not change it

  • No new leaders replace the Imams

  • No one can cancel Allah’s laws

  • Truth is proven by evidence, not claims
